Description

As a Business development Specialist, your primary responsibility is to evaluate and purchase pre-owned vehicles for resale within the dealership.

You will play a crucial role in identifying potential vehicles for purchase, negotiating prices, and ensuring that the inventory meets the company's quality standards using the service department and booking the appointments from service to upgrade to a newer vehicle.

Look for the vehicles at the auctions and other platforms to source quality pre-owned vehicles.

Additionally, you will need to maintain strong relationships with sellers and other industry contacts to access a steady stream of quality used vehicles.

Provide exceptional customer service by keeping Burlington Hyundai's Core Values in mind.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Inspect and evaluate used vehicles brought in for potential purchase. Assess the condition, mileage, and overall market value of the vehicle based on factors such as model year, maintenance history, and vehicle history reports.
  • Work hand in hand with Sales Manager and GSM/GM to accomplish the goals of the business development efforts to include, but not limited to: advice on final purchase values, ACVs, transaction details and to understand and support gross profit goals and objectives.
  • Determine fair purchase prices for used vehicles based on market trends, demand, and the vehicle's condition. Negotiate with sellers to secure favorable purchase prices while maintaining a mutually beneficial relationship.
  • Stay uptodate with current market trends and demand for various makes and models. Analyze competitors' pricing strategies and inventory to stay competitive in the market.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with used vehicle wholesalers, private sellers, and auctions. Attend auctions ad required, industry events, and trade shows to expand the network of potential vehicle sources.
  • Handle all necessary paperwork, contracts, and legal documentation related to vehicle purchases.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to sellers. Address inquiries, concerns, and resolve any issues related to vehicle purchases promptly and professionally.
  • Coordinate with the dealership's service department or external inspection services to conduct comprehensive assessments of potential purchases.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to ensure they are wellinformed about the available used inventory and vehicle details to facilitate efficient sales processes.
  • Generate regular reports on inventory turnover, sales performance, and market insights. Provide updates and recommendations to sales management to optimize inventory and increase profitability.
  • Contact individuals interested in selling their vehicles and establish rapport.
