The Office of the Vice-Principal, Research & Innovation is responsible for enhancing the overall research profile of UTSC locally, nationally and internationally.
Your opportunity:
Working under the direction of the Manager, Research Services & Partnerships, you will be responsible for supporting social science faculty members develop and write proposals for research funding.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Analyzing draft funding proposals
- Conducting analysis on research trends and other information to strengthen proposals
- Developing plans that support proposal development strategies
- Coordinating peer reviews of research projects with internal and/or external contacts
- Facilitating educational workshops and seminars
Essential Qualifications:
- Ph.
- Minimum four years of related work experience in a research administration, hospital, government/funding agency environment or work experience related to the responsibilities of the position.
- Must have clear and related demonstrated experience supporting faculty/researchers in the preparation, creating and editing of proposal, grants or award submission materials
- Demonstrated experience in facilitating workshops and ability to foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Experience conducting analysis on research trends and other information to strengthen proposals
- Excellent interpersonal and problemsolving skills and a commitment to delivering the highest level of customer service
- Strong computer skills with experience in MS Office such as Word, PowerPoint, Project, Excel, and other software packages
- Must have strong written and oral communication, presentation, organizational and time management skills
- Strong commitment to accuracy and attention to detail
