- Provide leadership support and direction to camp leaders through hiring and orientation, building schedules, tasks, coaching, and performance review.
- Supervise the planning and execution of camps, assess their effectiveness, and offer suggestions for enhancement.
- Manage camp administration tasks, including organizing off-site excursions, documenting camp procedures and activities, and addressing inquiries from stakeholders.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships including customers and colleagues
- Implement and oversee safety protocols and emergency procedures to ensure the well-being of campers and staff.
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program or related education.
- Experience in educational learning working with children.
- Possess Standard First Aid certification with CPR/AED (Level C).
- Strong interpersonal, problem-solving abilities, and customer service skills.
- Suitable for youth from years of age at the start of employment
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment.
- Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation.
- Demonstrate a high standard of professionalism aligned with Vecova values
- Maintain a positive working relationship with all Vecova team members
- Represent Vecova in a professional manner
- Demonstrate a high level of initiative and enthusiasm
- Maintain confidentiality at all times
