    THE OPPORTUNITY – Camp Team Leader – Canada Summer Jobs

    WHAT YOU WILL DO

    • Provide leadership support and direction to camp leaders through hiring and orientation, building schedules, tasks, coaching, and performance review.
    • Supervise the planning and execution of camps, assess their effectiveness, and offer suggestions for enhancement.
    • Manage camp administration tasks, including organizing off-site excursions, documenting camp procedures and activities, and addressing inquiries from stakeholders.
    • Build and maintain effective working relationships including customers and colleagues
    • Implement and oversee safety protocols and emergency procedures to ensure the well-being of campers and staff.

    WHAT YOU BRING

    We are looking to engage team members with diverse skills, experiences, and interests. These are some of the competencies and credentials we are looking for:

    • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program or related education.
    • Experience in educational learning working with children.
    • Possess Standard First Aid certification with CPR/AED (Level C).
    • Strong interpersonal, problem-solving abilities, and customer service skills.
    • Suitable for youth from years of age at the start of employment
    • Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment.
    • Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation.
    • Demonstrate a high standard of professionalism aligned with Vecova values
    • Maintain a positive working relationship with all Vecova team members
    • Represent Vecova in a professional manner
    • Demonstrate a high level of initiative and enthusiasm
    • Maintain confidentiality at all times
    • Demonstrate a high level of administrative and IT capacity.
