Reporting to the Director, Finance, the Accounts Receivable Coordinator will be responsible for managing and coordinating the accounts receivable activities.
The successful candidate will oversee and coordinate collections, and the compilation of the accounts receivable reports. The position closely monitors the aging of accounts receivable and initiates appropriate steps to facilitate collections from customers.Review aged accounts receivable daily and take appropriate action for payment collections
Monthly AR reconciliation, client account review and client account statement processing
Monthly follow-up with customers by phone on all outstanding payments
Apply and reconcile all deposits to ledger: Verify and reconcile any payment discrepancies with Contracts Department or Management
Maintain A/R accounts within good standards and as per company objectives
Prepare and present monthly AR report to management and advise on any collection concerns
Prepare all Accounts Receivable related financial reports as directed by management
Perform other accounting and administrative duties as may be required.
2-3 years of experience in an Accounting Administrative, Accounts Receivable or other related position
~ College Degree in Accounting is an asset
~ Previous experience in the construction industry is an asset
~ Excellent computer skills, proficiency with Excel, Word, Outlook
~ Proficiency in accounting software, experience with Jonas is an asset
~ Solid knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
