$21.83 / hour + brewery-wide tip pool + bonus potential

Left Field Brewery is a small, community-focused family business with a mission to create joy through beer. We also happen to love baseball, a theme that is interwoven through all facets of our brand.


This individual will work alongside the Director of Tap Room & Events and support the coordination, planning, promotion and activation of events to generate growth and engagement of Left Field Brewery brands.

They will be the lead representative at various events where Left Field Brewery beer is sold and/or promoted. This includes but is not limited to beer festivals, sporting events, farmers' markets and community events. This individual will also play a role in supporting the planning and execution of internal brewery events.


RESPONSIBILITIES

On-Site Activations:


  • Approximately 75% of time from May-September, less outside of peak event season)
- _Greet and provide exceptional service to event attendees

  • Engage and educate consumers on our brands, the brewing process and our brewery
  • Communicate with onsite and offsite event organizers to troubleshoot issues
  • Sample draught and packaged beer and/or sell packaged beer togo
  • Setup, break down and maintain a highimpact, clean and tidy branded serving area
  • Organize and transport equipment, beer, merchandise and promotional materials to and from events
  • Cash handling including use of mobile POS and credit/debit processing
  • Maintenance and cleaning of all event equipment
  • Grow customer loyalty through Fan Club sign ups
  • Generate eventspecific, realtime social media content
  • Adhere to AGCO Beverage Alcohol Retail Sales and Smart Serve Regulations

Administration and Support:

- (Approximately 25% of time from May
  • September, more outside of peak event season)
  • Support the planning, administration, promotion and activation of internal and external events
  • Liaise with vendors, event planners, suppliers and customers regarding events
  • Maintain detailed and accurate event files, calendars and promotional needs summaries for marketing collateral development
  • Post event reporting and reconciliation
  • Other administrative tasks as assigned

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:


  • G class drivers license and clean driving record is mandatory
  • Smart Serve & Retail Alcohol Sales certification
  • Flexible availability including weekends, mornings, afternoons and evenings
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Personable, warm and friendly with customer service experience
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
  • A selfstarter who takes initiative and seeks opportunities to innovate
  • Proficient with Google Sheets, Docs, Forms and Slides
  • Highly independent and accountable individual who takes ownership over their work
  • A strong team player with a positive attitude
  • A passion for great beer and knowledge of beer, the brewing process and beer styles
  • Formal Beer Training, i.e. Cicerone, Prud'homme, etc. is an asset
  • Mobile draught (jockey box) knowledge is an asset
  • At least 18 years of age or older (Alcohol sales requirement)
  • Must be able to move cases of beer, kegs and other event materials (tent, folding tables, etc.) weighing up to 130 lbs between ground level, skids, hand carts, delivery vehicles and up/down ramps, staircases and other uneven surfaces
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for the majority of the shift
  • Must be able to work occasional long 1012 hour shifts. Typical shifts range from 68 hours.
