    Description

    Position Summary

    Under the direct supervision of the Gaming Managers, this position is responsible for providing dealing services to customers while contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members. Ensures adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian's learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.

    Key Accountabilities

  • Deals card games including Blackjack and Baccarat
  • Maintains the security of the table and its float
  • Controls the table in the correct order of play; closes bets at the appropriate time
  • Refers disputes, irregularities or suspicious activities to the Manager
  • Verifies chip refills and credits
  • Tidies workstation and pit area
  • Communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
  • Builds strong working relationships with guests and team members
  • Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
  • Performs other duties as assigned or directed

    • Education and Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum 1 year of professional Blackjack Card Dealing Experience
  • Experience dealing Ultimate Texas Hold 'em an asset
  • Serving it Right Certification
  • Ability to work overnight and weekend shifts
  • Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License
  • Other languages an asset

    • Work Environment Considerations

  • Regular casino environment, standing for long periods of time, dealing cards for long periods of time and non-traditional work hours
