The Opportunity

  • Account Manager (South-Western Ontario)
The Account Manager is responsible for managing the overall sales process for a select list of contractor accounts.

This position requires development of ongoing and profitable relationships with customers and continually maintain a professional image of the company.

Integrity, passion, and in-person presentational skills are essential for this role. This is a full time permanent position for various Moffatt and Powell locations across South-Western Ontario.


Responsibilities:


  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers through exceptional service
  • To sell and promote building material products and services to new and existing customers
  • Responsible for prospecting new business opportunities within a defined geographic region
  • Meet business targets through effective management of designated territories and physical visits to customer/contractor sites
  • Build awareness of existing and new products and services supplied by the company and competitors
  • Seek out opportunities to expand the basket of products to existing customers
  • Build strategic plans to add to the Moffatt & Powell value proposition
  • Works well with other team members of the Moffatt & Powell to ensure success through the entire sales cycle
  • Establish and execute a sales plan
  • Always maintain a professional sales appearance

Qualifications:


  • Knowledge and/or experience with quotes, updating customer relation management tools
  • Knowledge and/or experience with building materials, and construction practices
  • Post-Secondary education in business management, sales or building materials is an asset
  • High level of organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities with tight deadlines
  • Selfmotivated with confidence to prospect and follow up through the entire sales cycle
  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers, colleagues and vendors
  • 5+ years customer service
  • 3 to 5 years professional sales experience
