THE OPPORTUNITY:

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Develop, recommend and implement human resources programs and services in the area of recruitment, performance management, employee relationships and retention.
  • Ensure corporate compliance with labour regulations and governance standards about recruiting, interviewing, and hiring new employees, recordkeeping and performance management.
  • Lead programs for onboarding, general new start orientation, training, and employer branding.
  • Develop and maintain HR policies to ensure the company always complies with OHSA.
  • Prepare HR reports related to but not limited to staffing, and turnover, and provide action items to address gaps and issues.
  • Maintains the company organizational chart and updates as needed.
  • Assist the management team with a variety of issues and adhoc projects.

SKILLS:

  • Solid knowledge of effective human resources management, including labour relations, employee relations, staffing, health and safety, and performance management.
  • Excellent communication and people management skills; must be a team player.
  • Selfstarter, highly organized, ability to prioritize, strong attention to detail and goaloriented.
  • Ability to handle situations professionally with sensitivity, confidentiality, diplomacy and tact.
  • Practices continuous learning by keeping abreast of human resources knowledge.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Prior experience working in a warehouse or distribution environment or providing HR advice in this work environment is an asset.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • University degree or college diploma in Human Resources Management or postgraduate program in Human Resources Management.
  • Minimum 3 years related experience in a Human Resources Generalist role.
  • Working towards CHRP designation is an asset.
  • Proficiency in Chinese and English, both orally and in writing.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
