Position Summary:


This Data Analyst/Project Coordinator-Trauma provides expertise in data interpretation, analysis, project coordination and facilitation and integration of quality information to support project requirements.

The Data Analyst/Project Coordinator-Trauma works in partnership with the Trauma Medical Director and Trauma Coordinator and other internal support departments as well as the Regional Trauma Network to implement, validate, and maintain the Ontario Trauma Registry database and to report performance metrics.

Qualifications, Experience, Skills and Abilities:


  • Graduate of an approved Health Information Management program
  • Current Certified HIM with the Canadian Health Information Management Association (CHIMA)
  • Certified Abbreviated Injury Scale Specialist, (CAISS) or completion of the Abbreviated Injury Scale (AIS) course or willing to obtain within 3 months
  • Strong aptitude for analysis and interpretation of data
  • Expertise in CIHI database and reporting methodology: CMG+, HBAM and CACS methodology
  • Strong understanding of ER NACRS and DAD
  • Advanced computer skills use of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
  • Demonstrated excellence in communication, customer service and team building with the ability to initiate and model positive change
  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated project management and coordination skills
