    Administer the day-to-day business affairs of the City of Yorkton in accordance with the policies and plans made or approved by Council.

    Compile, consider and present to Council recommendations arising from departmental operations, and propose the necessary bylaws, policies or resolutions arising from such recommendations.

    Demonstrate strong self-management skills and further personal and professional development.
    Prepare annual budget, control expenditures, optimize various revenue sources and ensure cost-effective operations are implemented and maximized.
    Devise remedial actions for any identified issues and conduct crisis management when necessary.
    Strategic Management

    Undertake strategic and business planning initiatives to improve organizational efficiency and productivity as required.
    Participate in business and strategic planning, implementation of policies, development of improvements and other activities.
    Maintain constant awareness of new trends and developments in the municipal leadership field.

    Bachelor's Degree , preferably in a field of study related to political studies or finance such as Public Administration, Business Administration, or Commerce.

    15+ years of senior leadership experience.
    Work effectively and see the value in building relationships within the City of Yorkton and with external agencies.
    Ability to maneuver through conflict management while showing leadership skills including communication and active listening to individuals.
    Motivated, flexible, self-starter who is results-oriented and possesses strong problem-solving and leadership abilities.
    Demonstrated record of achieving performance objectives and motivating others.
