The Faculty of Health Sciences ((FHS) is a large, diverse, and comprehensive unit, comprised of six Schools (Nursing, Kinesiology, Health Studies, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Communication Sciences and Disorders), a large Interdisciplinary Graduate Program in Health and Rehabilitation Sciences and four Research Centres.

The Faculty has more than 3,200 undergraduate students and more than 800 graduate students (200 PhD students).


The School of Physical Therapy develops and promotes excellence, leadership, and innovation in physical therapy research, education and clinical practice, with an immediate focus on harnessing and growing our strengths in musculoskeletal health.

Responsibilities:


  • The Project Coordinator/Manager will manage the implementation of the OnCall app project (e.g., organizational licensing agreements; app onboarding materials for organizational leaders, organizational champions, peer support providers, and frontline firefighters; oversee the quantitative and qualitative data collection). The incumbent will coordinate and provide ongoing leadership of the project, and manage all project phases by setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring and summarizing progress and results. The incumbent will engage various stakeholders, ensure project support and sponsorship, and provide leadership and direction to the project team.

Qualifications:


Education:


  • Undergraduate Degree; Project Management Professional certification preferred

Experience:

  • 2 years' work experience in a related field. Experience in firefighter mental health is required.

Skills, Abilities & Expertise:

  • Familiarity with best practices in building a strong collaborative team and leading people
  • Familiarity with project life cycles
  • Familiarity with techniques for planning, managing and coordinating multiple projects, with competing priorities that involve a variety of stakeholders
  • Project management skills to ensure team roles are clear, milestones are communicated and deadlines are met
  • Familiarity with best practices for change management
  • Communication skills to clearly and effectively interact with all levels of the organization
  • Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite
  • A welldefined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Resultsoriented with the ability to motivate and coach employees to meet high performance standards
  • Ability to interact professionally with students, staff, faculty, and other members of the University community
  • Strong client focus with a desire to achieve results
