Description

The City of Edmonton selected Marigold Infrastructure Partners to design and build the 14-kilometre Valley Line West LRT project from downtown to Lewis Farms.

Construction has begun and will take five to six years to complete.

Marigold is a design-build joint venture agreement between Colas and Parsons.

As we prepare for the coming season, we are seeking Landscape Coordinators.


Summary:
The Construction Coordinator

  • Landscaping
- supports the delivery of the project by assisting and liaising with various subcontractors, procurement, and scheduling, communicating with the Superintendent and other stakeholders, ensuring on-time delivery of project plans. Specific requirement of experience with soil cells, landscaping, drainage required.


Responsibilities:


  • Ensure the Construction is in full compliance with the Project Agreement, including matters relating to quality, safety, environment, and life cycle performance, such as Project's ECO Plan, Health and Safety Plan, and all applicable legislation.
  • Review and understand project schedule
  • Oversees and facilitates the installation of construction materials for the project to ensure contractors are fulfilling all obligations and that work is carried out according to approved contracts, specifications and schedules
  • Serves as liaison with project management, reporting on inspections, subcontracting, progress and delays.
  • Participates in project meetings and facilitates regularlyscheduled meetings related to BIM execution and deliverables for the project
  • Support integration of project data such as but not limited to: schedule, estimate, documentation, cost projections and performance data, etc.
  • Interpret designs and drawings for technicians
  • Track RFIs, shop drawings, asbuilt drawings and other project documents
  • Proactively identify and work to resolve any site issues that may impede project delivery
  • Provide technical knowledge and input to assist installing contractors and trades

Requirements:


  • Demonstrated understanding of basic engineering and construction concepts, practices and procedures
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Landscape Architecture or similar field from an accredited institution
  • 25 years' demonstrated selfperforming experience in construction field, on large, complex, heavy civil transportation projects (roads and highways, bridges, bridge and tunnel, rail and transit)

Skills, Competencies and Attributes

  • Experience with 3D and 4D models.
  • Strong communication skills, and ability to identify and resolve complex issues
  • Ability to work in a cost effective, customerfocused, teambased environment.
Valid driver's license, preferably with clean abstract.


Must be able to negotiate the terrain of an in-process construction site, including climbing stairs and ladders, working on slippery or steep terrain, use of aerial lifts, and working outdoors in all types of Edmonton weather.
