Summary:


Role and Responsibilities:


  • Repair, assembly, testing, and calibration on a variety of valve and actuation products
  • Provide detailed service reports on product
  • Provide product telephone support for internal and external customers
  • Provide support to other production areas in the shop as needed
  • Operate both the fork lift and crane
  • Participate in overtime/weekend work as required to meet customers' demands
  • Maintain a safe work environment and actively participate in Spartan's safety culture
  • Possible field work if required
  • Work proficiently in Spartans SAP computer system
  • Able to work applicable shifts during spring and fall outages
  • Able to selflearn through online courses and training

Qualifications and Skills:


  • Diploma from a 2year Instrumentation Technology program, Journeyman / Journeywoman / Journeyperson Instrumentation Technician, or Instrumentation Apprentice
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and skills
  • Excellent work ethic
  • Previous experience with SAP is considered an asset
  • Adaptability to provide support to different areas as required
  • Outstanding commitment to customer service
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organization skills
  • Ability to work individually as well as in a team
  • Strong problemsolving ability
  • Physically able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Entrepreneurial understanding
  • Valid Alberta driver's license and willing to travel, if required
