LEARNING COORDINATOR**
CONTRIBUTING TO THE CMPA
Safe Medical Care Learning is central to the CMPA's vision of being a learning organization. The department's core activities include learning strategy, design, development & delivery, and administrative support.

Safe Medical Care Learning incorporates needs assessment, design, delivery, and evaluation within a continuous improvement cycle to deliver learning to members and CMPA employees.

Digital learning products contribute to a blended learning approach and are readily accessible through the modernization of the CMPA website.

The Learning group utilizes state of the art pedagogical science to share knowledge and improve practice of members and their teams while also contributing to the internal learning needs of CMPA staff, leaders, and governance through internal collaborations.


POSITION OVERVIEW


The Learning Coordinator provides comprehensive planning, project coordination and support for the delivery of educational products and programs for physician-members and their teams.

This position works closely with members of the Safe Medical Care Learning team, including Physician Advisors (PA) and in collaboration with key internal partners, ensuring the timely development and delivery of product and program related activities.

The incumbent plays an integral role in promoting and maintaining clear lines of communication between all stakeholders.

The Learning Coordinator liaises with multiple departments, cross-functional groups, management and internal and external stakeholders.

The incumbent is responsible for ensuring the coordination of resources and logistics to enable the design, the development and the delivery of product/program activities.


POSITION ACTIVITIES

Planning and Monitoring

  • Prepare and maintain work plans and yearly schedules of activities related to programs and its full set of product design, development and evaluation as well as content development, production, and delivery.
  • Maintain all project related documentation.
  • Review operational and corporate reports generated on key success indicators. Document variance, gaps, external, internal changes/risks.
  • Prepare progress reports.

Coordination/Liaison

  • Maintain clear lines of communication and act as the point of contact between Safe Medical Care Learning team members and internal partners regarding all product and program activities: lifecycle of educational activities, work plan, content development, logistics/resources, production and delivery.
  • Communicate project progress to all stakeholders and information leveraging on CMPA channels; team meetings, myCMPA, Confluence, and Confluence.

Administration:


  • Organize meetings, teleconferences, webinars, videoconferences, confirm agendas, take minutes, track action items, and communicate the progress and status to stakeholders.

Processes and Procedures:


  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of new and existing processes, procedures and guidelines that help support product and program activities. Ensure consistency and compliance with corporate policies, by leveraging departmental and corporate technologies.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Threeyear diploma program at College, CÉGEP or a threeyear University degree
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience including a minimum of 2 years directly related to project coordination activities.
  • Experience in project management, events logistics, education, healthcare industry, is an asset.
  • The following courses are preferred:
  • Project or program management.
  • Process Improvement.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Sound judgement, strong leadership, and ability to take initiative.
  • Selfmotivated with proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Strong work ethic, demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as a strong team member and team player.
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is strongly preferred.

POSTING DETAILS

  • Job Type: Regular fulltime opportunity.
  • Salary range: $68,000 to $79,000 this role is classified as level
  • Location: Hybrid
  • Primary Remote Job. You can work from a homebased office the majority of time, with regular onsite presence at the CMPA office (up to 12 days per week). If you prefer to work in an office setting as your primary workspace, you can choose to work out of the CMPA's office located in Ottawa, Ontario near the beautiful Dow's Lake.
