Description

The Inside Channel Systems Engineer (ICSE) collaborates with peers to develop and drive the Technical Enablement of HP Partners in the US and Canada.

As a member of the Channel Sales Engineering team, you will be responsible to present, position, and answer technical questions regarding the full suite of HP Solutions.

You are a self-starter, keen to learn and understand collaboration industry trends and how HP's solutions enable our Partners to win in their markets.


Responsibilities include

  • Support HP's Channel Sales team to achieve Revenue Objectives via Technical Sales Enablement Training, Q&A (chat) technical support, Solution Demonstrations and Partner Program Growth Objectives.
  • Generate enthusiasm and passion for HP Solutions throughout the Partner Ecosystem
  • Assist Partners in achieving HP Product and Solution Certifications
  • Support Inside Channel Sales in technical discussions with partners and endusers
  • Effectively understand and position complex HP technologies with emphasis on Microsoft Teams, Zoom, RingCentral and similar Cloud based UC&C Platforms.
  • Effectively position HP products and solutions recognizing the competitive landscape
  • Refer support issues to HP Global Services (Post Sale)
  • Refer partner sales opportunities to the HP Territory Sales Teams

Job Requirements

  • Provide Pre-Sales Technical in a fastpaced, high volume environment in order to successfully achieve regional Sales quota and productivity metrics
  • Confidence in sales conversations with all levels from management to technical professionals
  • Answer inbound questions (e.g. via Chat) from Partners regarding Poly Solution & Capabilities
  • Comfortable being on Video calls for long durations of the work day
  • Ability to position IP Based Unified Communications solutions, including key competitive differentiators
  • Ability to effectively configure and troubleshoot technology demonstrations o Capable of explaining complex technical concepts in simple terms to a diverse audience
  • Ability to organize effectively and followup with high responsiveness to multiple inquiries simultaneously
  • Ability and willingness to learn new collaboration technologies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Technical Sales experience is highly advantageous
  • Gregarious, engaging, confident, inquisitive and wellspoken personality is a must.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent Presentation Skills, Command of the English Language (French as a 2nd language is high desirable)
  • Strong UC experience\knowledge with: TCP/IP, Subnetting, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, IP Routing, QOS/Diffserv, SIP\H.323 experience
  • Registrar, Gatekeeping, SDP Negotiation, Microsoft PowerShell, and associated administration
  • VOIP telephony experience (Dial Plans, Call Admission Control, Bandwidth Management).
  • Audio-Visual knowledge to include: HDMI, Echo Cancellation, Audio Mixing would be an asset
  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology
