    The Tools & Equipment Coordinator is responsible for generating rental income through effective and timely management of the tool and material inventory tracking system.

    Under the supervision of the COO, the Tools & Equipment Coordinator manages the rental process and tracking of tools and equipment inventory owned by MBR tools, a division of Kindred Construction, used exclusively on Kindred job sites.

    Interacting with Site Superintendents/Foreman, General Superintendent, Accounting, and Health & Safety Manager regularly to ensure the smooth transition of tools and equipment between sites, and effective management of the MBR Tools business unit.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    Manage & maintain daily operations of tool inventory program.
    Remain informed on industry rental rates and ensure inventory rental rates follow corporate guidelines.
    Ensure inventory is rented out as per guidelines and any approval for exceptions is obtained and documented.
    Accept and fulfill rental requests of tools, equipment, and machinery.

    Utilize tool tracking application to track and transfer inventory from the tool yard to job site, or between jobsites using company provided truck.

    Purchase tools and materials as and when needed – collaborate with accounting & General Superintendent to determine needs and to facilitate payment & billing.

    Responsible for loading and unloading of delivery vehicle.

    Responsible for ongoing maintenance of tools and equipment including assessment of damaged tools to determine if repairable, sending tools for repair, identifying appropriate maintenance schedules, testing equipment and tools prior to deployment, and maintenance of logs and history of tool repairs.

    Become the Rental/Inventory Champion – Continue to develop the rental/inventory processes with the goal of streamlining the activities, while ensuring that the projects, and MBR tools are equally benefitted.

    Responsible for ongoing client service, and ensuring good value and efficiency of service to the Site Superintendents.
    Ensuring that all employees, equipment, materials, and areas of operation conform to appropriate health and safety measures.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

    Work order management or inventory control experience; familiarity with rental experience is an asset.
    Extensive knowledge of construction tools and equipment, including heavy machinery.
    Must be able to operate a pallet jack and forklift and/or be willing to obtain a ticket.
    Must be detail-oriented, well organized, and self-motivated.
    This position requires walking, lifting, pulling, pushing, kneeling, standing bending & climbing.
