Manager,
Emergency Response Planning to join our growing and ever-changing organization.
Manager, Emergency Response Planning (ERP) is responsible for all day-today ERP related duties and the full development of the ERP manual, management of the ERP program including, training development and implementation to all Flair Airline stakeholders.
Primary Job Functions:
The duties of the
Manager, Emergency Response Planning include:
- Conduct emergency exercises throughout the organization to ensure company preparedness.
- Attend/participate in emergency exercises within all Flair operating areas.
- Responsible for the development and updating or Flair Airline Emergency Response Manual in accordance with all regulatory requirements.
- Responsible for the creation and maintenance of the ERP initial and recurrent employee training program.
- Lead/assist in delivering of initial & recurrent training.
- Provide ERP training to internal/external stakeholders.
- Continually maintain and update ERP manual ensuring ongoing regulatory/industry standards for compliance.
- Responsible for ERM/ERP document control.
- Ensure the airline's full compliance with applicable regulatory and industry standards.
- Ensure effective collaboration, consultation, and communication with all stakeholders through all emergency events.
- Effectively manage and collaborate with third party service providers i.e., Kenyon/Everbridge
- Create/Coordinate and lead regular ERP team member/committee meetings.
- Ensure the effective implementation of emergency threat/incident protocols.
- Assist & contribute to emergency incident reporting, investigation, mitigation, corrective action, and analysis of incidents.
- Ensure the activation of Flair ECC/JSOCC during emergency incidents.
- Assist and ensure ongoing processes for the control and protection of securitysensitive documents and information.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of an organizationwide ERP awareness program.
- Ensure the continuous improvement of emergency operations, including effective collaboration with other teams involved in the airline's ERP functions.
- Instill a culture of emergency awareness across the airline.
- Develop and foster relationships with emergency agencies such as, Transport Canada, Transportation Safety Board (TSB), National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), Federal Aviation Association (FAA), Non-Government Agencies (NGO), other emergency agencies to meet the business requirements and needs of the airline in conjunction with all applicable municipal, provincial and federal regulations.
- Delegate responsibilities and assign duties to qualified members of the emergency response team where appropriate.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in a related field considered an asset.
- Current RAIC holder preferred, must have the ability to obtain RAIC.
- Minimum five years of emergency leadership experience and demonstrated ability to develop, coach and lead a team of emergency professionals.
- Extensive knowledge of aviation security regulations, standards, and practices including those of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
- Thorough understanding of Security Management Systems (SeMS).
- Experience leading teams involved in conducting aviation investigations and audits.
- Ability to identify and evaluate individual and team performance objectives.
- Ability to interpret laws, regulations, and industry standards, and to incorporate them into company policies and procedures.
- Ability to develop, implement, and evaluate emergency management processes and procedures including those applicable to aviation, corporate, personnel, physical, and cyber security.
- Detailed knowledge of the current regional, national, and international threat environment.
- Ability to manage crisis situations and make sound decisions in a timely manner.
- Experience developing, delivering, and evaluating training.
- Ability to understand the company's culture and the importance of integrating it into emergency related processes and communications without compromising effectiveness.
