FP&A is responsible for planning and managing lululemon's overall financial performance.

a day in the life:

what you'll do:

Reporting to the Manager of Financial Planning, the Financial Analyst - Global Community and Brand Experience is responsible for the execution of all financial planning and analysis activities relating to the Global Community and Brand Experience business as well as project managing SG&A process improvements and reporting/dashboard enhancements (time to be evenly distributed across both workstreams).

As a key strategic partner, you will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, variance reporting, analysis and decision support for the aforementioned functions, and effectively communicating results to senior leaders to enhance and enable decision making.

Furthermore, you will proactively partner with the business to understand the link between operations and financial results, provide business insights and be a key financial and strategic partner to the Global Community and Brand Experience team.


  • Key strategic partner to the Global Community and Brand Experience team, leading them through annual operating budget process and monthly reforecasts.
  • Prepare analysis at month and quarter end which includes investigating variances to budget and forecast and communicate financial results to FP&A team leadership and business partners.
  • Partner with Global Community and Brand Experience team to model out P&Ls for specific events, and evaluate actual performance vs plan, preparing reporting to be shared with senior leadership.
  • Identifies opportunities to streamline SG&A processes which includes leveraging Oracle Analytics Cloud
  • Project manage SG&A reporting and dashboard enhancements which includes facilitating coordination and roll out across wider FP&A team.
  • Participating in crossfunctional initiatives and adhoc projects to provide financial analysis for decision support.
qualifications

  • 4+ years of progressive finance, financial analysis, and reporting experience with fastpaced business environments.
  • Retail industry experience is an asset.
  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or similar.
  • CPA or MBA is an asset.
  • Oracle Hyperion or large financial planning software knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong financial background, and expert knowledge of Excel is required.
  • Strong analytical, modelling, and problemsolving skills.
  • Extremely organized, detail oriented and takes pride in quality.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and handle multiples task in a time sensitive manner.
  • Excellent team player as well as the ability to work independently.
  • Effective communication skills (written & verbal).
