The main function of the Business Analyst is to support the core organizational functions and business processes in Product Systems, while maintaining adherence to Scotiabank's enterprise architectural and security standards.


What will you do?

  • Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Performs scripted daily & ad hoc system health checks. Coordinate / work with development teams to communicate any potential technical issues to be solved before affecting the Bank's customers.
  • Review and perform quality control for all Product Systems submissions to Change Board.
  • Maintain and curate content in centralized Confluence / Sharepoint sites for the team.
  • Create, maintain and socialize documentation on operational processes for Product Systems.
  • Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in daytoday activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of daytoday business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.
  • Champions a high performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment.

What do you need to succeed?

  • Background in financial systems and/or operations preferred
  • Experience with Service Now, Confluence, JIRA, MS Office 365 required
  • Analytical, detail oriented, highly organized
  • Very strong communication skills (written & verbal) required
  • Prior leadership experience desirable
