Why This Role?

Key Responsibilities

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Site assessment and evaluation of existing buildings and structures
Formulate building science and structural rehabilitation programs
Contract administration including preparation of bidding documents/specifications and drawings
Preparation of condition assessment reports and written recommendations
Perform effectively in both an office and construction site environment.
Work under the direction of a Project Engineer as a member of the project team, from conceptual and preliminary stage of project design to its completion.
Some structural design and analysis to determine effective repair alternatives
Coordination with other engineering and architectural disciplines
Client liaison

Professional Qualifications

5 years of posteducation experience in structural engineering or construction, with an understanding of building science
Able to conceptualize in three dimensions
A selfstarter who learns quickly and works hard
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Willing to work overtime at some odd hours as needed to meet site requirements
Team player with ability to work independently with minimum direction
Aptitude for working with existing facilities and comfortable working at heights
Valid Driver's License
