About this opportunity:


Reporting to the Transportation and Logistics Coordinator, the Transportation Advisor promotes and enhances the safe operation of transported produced fluids within the Lloydminster and surrounding district from single well locations to various facilities and single well disposal sites.

The position oversees transportation compliance by Contracted fluid haulers and field operations to Cenovus's Heath, Safety & Environment policies and targets, and provincial and federal regulations and guidelines.

Responsibilities:


  • Set governance (i.e., develop, execute, promote and monitor) policies and procedures for produced fluid transportation to enhance Cenovus operations.
  • Conduct near miss and incident reporting, investigation, documentation and follow up for all contracted carriers/ad hoc carriers (e.g., spills).
  • Act as liaison for all contracted carriers and Cenovus field operations and leaders.
  • Perform audits and report results on contracted carriers work practices.
  • Ensure all contracted carriers compliance to Cenovus' Health, Safety & Environmental policies and procedures (e.g. monitor owner operator's performance, monitor/enforce safe operation of contracted motor vehicles).
  • Provide information and training on Cenovus's Environmental Stewardship and spill related policies, procedures, and requirements to contracted carriers.
  • Report on all key performance indicators (KPI's)
  • Review and ensure required permits are obtained and signed off.
  • Ensure relevant policies and procedures are adhered to and work is being completed in a safe and efficient manner.

Qualifications:

  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Minimum grade 12 diploma. Related postsecondary diploma from a recognized technical school is preferred. 5+ years fluid hauling experience in oil and gas industry
  • Ability to work with a diverse client group utilizing strong organizational, planning, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience with the following:

  • Auditing experience and or certification-
  • Incident investigation experience-
  • Working knowledge of Intelex or Power BI-
  • SCADA-
  • Gas Process operator (GPO)-
  • Production Field Operator (PFO)-
  • 4th class power engineering certificate-
  • Strong leadership, decision making and facilitation skills
  • Highly motivated, positive attitude and desire to grow job responsibility
