- Conduct fieldwork, focusing on small mammals, birds, raptors, and amphibians.
- Lead terrestrial/wildlife salvages.
- Handle permitting and reporting related to terrestrial and wildlife.
- Manage, train, and mentor junior team members.
- Client management.
- Play an instrumental role in project management, showcasing initiative and drive.
- Reporting (daily, annual and permitting/EA reporting).
- Manage budgets, logistics, equipment requirements.
- Design and run field programs. Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
- 7-10 years of experience.
- P.Bio. designation or eligibility to become registered within the next couple of years.
- Strong wildlife identification skills, with a focus on bird identification (visual and auditory).
- Experience with invertebrates, amphibians, small mammals, and species at risk.
- Knowledge of vegetation and wetlands is an asset but not mandatory.
- Consulting experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of the provincial regulatory system related to wildlife and species inventories.
- GIS capabilities an asset.
- Ability to manage diverse projects and budgets.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
