  • As a Manager, Organizational Wellness Unit, you are responsible for the development, implementation, execution, management, and sustainment of Calgary Police Service (CPS)'s wellness programming. You are also responsible for overseeing the review and evaluation of current programs, as well as manage the development of service wide processes and further programming.

Primary duties include:

  • Design, implement and manage effective strategies and programs that facilitate transparent, consistent, membercentered support for all employees.

Oversee the development and coordination of Organizational Wellness Unit (OWU) services by streamlining CPS practices, policy or procedures to include Wellness and Resiliency supports that prevent illnesses, injuries and mitigate risk.

Develop, implement and oversee program tracking and reporting, including related performance measures and metrics in alignment with the strategic objectives.

Invest in professional development through coaching, mentorship, and performance management of direct reports.
Manage, lead and coach direct reports on all facets of physiological and psychological illnesses and injuries.
Develop and monitor budget and resourcing to ensure successful achievement of CPS Business Plan strategic goals and objectives obtained.

Provide consultation and guidance to employees, leaders, colleagues and service providers to support the mental health and wellness of all CPS employees.

Inform and contribute to the strategic direction of Wellness and Resiliency to the Executive and organizational projects related to psychological health while ensuring alignment with CPS business and annual policing plans.

Qualifications
***A Master's degree in Social Science, or related field with a clinical background and a minimum of 10 years experience in a clinical mental health capacity plus a minimum of 8 years leadership and supervisory experience.
Registration under a regulatory body recognized by the Health Professions Act of Alberta is required.

Competencies for this position include analytical thinking, change management, coaching and development, communication, managing resources, relationship building, team building and teamwork.

  • Compensation: Level F $91,425 $140,027 per annum
