    Your Opportunity

    Our Halifax office is looking for a Senior Manager/Vice President/Trustee to join our BDO Personal Debt Solutions team and own the following responsibilities:

  • Manage consumer bankruptcy and proposal files
  • Provide advice on current bankruptcy laws and practices, conduct debtor assessments, and manage recovery of assets (including acting as Receivers)
  • Supervise staff and delegate tasks and projects as required
  • Identify, target, and develop referral network.
  • Assist with practice development

    • Your experience and education

  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of insolvency rules, laws and procedures
  • You value teamwork, client service, and quality in your workFully Licensed Insolvency Trustee (Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional (CIRP)
  • Accounting designation (CPA-CA/CPA-CMA/CPA-CGA) is an asset
  • 3 or more years of related experience within the Insolvency field; the primary focus will be on consumer work
  • Able to prioritize with the flexibility to manage workload demands and multiple tasks as required
  • Willingness to travel to assist in the coverage of satellite offices if required
