What you can expect to do

- Play a key role in developing the key aspects of the S&OP meeting
- Lead the development implementation and maintenance of formalized demand management and forecasting process with a 12 to 18 months rolling Forecast
- Create weekly and monthly reports and tools to track Sales performance compared to internal Forecast and competitor sales by SKU and category
- Establish and monitor the forecast accuracy and BIAS reporting, identify gaps and work closely with the sales, R&D and internal supply chain teams to improve the KPI's for critical items.
- Identify abnormal demand patterns, evaluate and recommend alternatives
- Work closely with Order management, production, supply planning, procurement and PMO to ensure Forecast is achievable and highlight any risks in MRP processes and outcomes
- Work with cross functional teams and provide insight to improve business decisions trough data
- Serves as the "bridge" between different levels of work and functional areas, primarily sales ,new products and supply chain
Skills and Competencies
- Overall understanding of MRP, demand forecasting and new product launch processes with their interdependency with other business processes
- Knowledge of category management and full product life cycle management
- Strong knowledge of supply chain as well as financial acumen
- Develop indepth market dynamics to better understand performance
- Provide indepth analysis of current sales, shipment and retail inventory performance and ensure that the short term demand plan outlook is incorporated in the long term plans
- Knowledge and experience in sophisticated demand software
- Identify potential risks and opportunities to our business and develop effective mitigation plans
- Provide substantial recommendation to the business based on insight generated
- Manage data models, forecasting algorithms and record forecast assumptions
What we are looking for
- Minimum 5 ( five ) years' experience in Consumer Packaged Goods or similar industry with clear experience in demand planning roles
- University degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or related field
- Sage MRP experience a strong asset
- Cannabis industry experience a strong asset
- Strong financial literacy and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills required; fluent English
- Good command of MS Office Suite required (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Knowledge of data base management tools and SQL is preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills, mentoring, listening, decisionmaking abilities
