Job Responsibilities

  • Installing, calibrating, testing, troubleshooting and maintenance of instrumentation, including pressure, and temperature transmitters, gas detectors, control valves, meters, and analyzers;
  • Installing, testing and troubleshooting electrical control circuits, motor circuits, Variable Frequency Drives, etc.; (600V 2160KV)
  • Troubleshooting of electrical, instrumentation, and process control equipment;
  • Maintaining instrumentation and mechanical items such as control valves, turbine meters and other associated field equipment;
  • Providing technical input and scope development for operations, projects and turnarounds;
  • Performing scheduled preventive maintenance, and completing test and maintenance reports;
  • Completing all written and electronic records (i.e. work orders, calibration sheets, time cards, material requests) required to document the work in progress and as it is completed;
  • Consulting manufacturer's manuals, circuit diagrams and blueprints to determine tests and maintenance procedures;
  • Complying with Occupational Health & Safety Regulations as well as facility standards and procedures; and
  • Providing oncall support during nonbusiness hours

Qualifications:


  • A valid Electrician (Construction and Maintenance 309A) license and be eligible to work in Ontario would be an asset
  • Must possess an Instrumentation and Control Engineering diploma and/or have Instrumentation and Control Technician 447A license.
  • Knowledge of associated instrumentation software communication systems, and the implementation and maintenance of those systems would be an asset;
  • Must have valid class 5 drivers' license;
  • Compliance with the company's Drug & Alcohol program is mandatory;
  • Permanent residency within 100 KM of the facility is required;
  • Strong troubleshooting and problemsolving skills are required.
  • Cleared criminal history (background) and satisfactory reference checks;
  • Compliance with the Company's drug and alcohol policy including preemployment D&A testing; and
  • Compliance with the Company's requirement to be clean shaven to ensure proper fit of emergency PPE.
