Title:
Battery Receiving Process (BRP) Operator

Job Type:
Full Time, Permanent

Location:
Mississauga, ON

HIRING IMMEDIATELY, MULTIPLE OPENINGS AVAILABLE

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the BRP Operator is responsible for transporting raw materials and recyclable materials throughout the plant.

Rotating 8 hour shifts Monday to Saturday: 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, 11pm-7am

Pay Rate:
$23.89 per hour Monday

Friday

$35.82 per hour Saturday (Overtime Rate)

Key Accountabilities

Transport raw materials, scrap and recyclable materials throughout plant manually or using forklift, overhead crane or other powered equipment
Sort and pick materials on a production conveyor
Clean work areas and equipment
May assist with minor repairs and maintenance
Operate cleaning equipment such as industrial power washers, vacuums, sweepers and floor cleaners
Perform other duties as assigned by management

Experience, Qualifications & Education

Completion of secondary school
Experience in a related production line occupation or as a warehouse worker Forklift and/or Overhead crane experience an asset
OHSA Rights and Responsibilities, WHMIS training
Physical strength is required for manual material handling materials
Long standing, walking and some mínimal climbing of ladders and stairs
Wearing and maintenance of required PPE including respirator mask

Temporary Hiring Bonus Program

All new hires who join the organization are eligible for the following bonus incentives:

Hiring Bonus:
$250.00

2. Completion of six (6) months: $2000.00

As per CRA standards, bonus payments are less applicable taxes. Please note that employees will need to have an active status and be in good standing in terms of their performance and attendance in order to qualify for the 6month payout. Eligibility will be determined solely by the company.
