    Description
    Nesters Market* is currently seeking a *Deli Manager* for our store located in *Gabriola, BC*. This role is *Full-Time *and reports to the Store Manager.

    We are looking for a leader who has a strong passion for fresh food and who can efficiently oversee the daily operations of the Deli Department in terms of staffing, sales, customer service, merchandising, and product quality.

    *Provide supervision to department staff to ensure quality customer service

    • Maximize sales and gross profit through effective and creative merchandising
    • Maintain department inventory by placing product orders regularly while adhering to departmental budgets
    • Efficiently stock and display product in a neat and appealing manner to ensure quality and freshness
    • Handle customer inquiries, requests and complaints in a prompt, polite and effective manner
    • Comply with the Company's established Health and Safety and Food Safety policies and ensure that staff members are also adhering to these policies
    • Previous retail management experience, preferably in Deli / Grocery, or in restaurant or hospitality would also be considered
    • Knowledge of health and safety legislation, policies and practices
    • Flexibility to work a variety of hours which include days, evenings, weekends and stat holidays
