Permanent, full-time, with benefits


Salary:

Starting at $55,000- $65,000 (depending on experience and qualifications), excellent benefits provided.


At the CCTS, our mandate is to review and resolve telecommunications and television complaints after interaction between the customer and their service provider has failed to produce a satisfactory outcome.

Position Overview

Your Role:


As Communications Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing CCTS' social media channels and digital campaigns, leading media relations and for providing ongoing support in relation to communications-related initiatives and projects.


Your Responsibilities:


  • Plan and manage all of CCTS social media activities, including Public Awareness campaign tactics.
  • Measure and report on digital marketing campaign performance.
  • Review user generated posts on social media accounts in a timely manner and respond according to CCTS' established guidelines and help maintain and keep guidelines up to date.
  • Maintain and review Media Monitoring account and summarize news for department.
  • Monitor website statistics and report on web and social media visitor traffic.
  • Create compelling videos and graphics, and/ work with external consultants to create visual content for social media and other communication products.
  • Work with third party vendor to handle Google Ad Grants account.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to implement website updates as required.
  • Collect, draft and/or format content for internal and external newsletters.
  • Support communications rollout plans including distribution of reports, newsletters and surveys to various stakeholders.
  • Respond to and triage various departmental requests including translation, template creation, printing services, etc.
  • Coordinate meetings & various consultations in support of the Director. Assist in notetaking as required.
  • Assist the Communications team with special projects and initiatives as required.
  • You have
    a minimum of 34 years' experience in a communications role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
:


  • You have
    postsecondary education in a related field.
  • You have worked with programs such as MailChimp,
    Hootsuite and Canva to manage audiences and social media creative, or
    WordPress as a web content management system
  • You have an imaginative side and like to show off this flair with your proficiency with basic
    MS Office suite tools (such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint), as well as using
    graphic design tools and/or creating shortform video content for social media.
  • You have some understanding of public relations and experience dealing with media requests
  • At the root of it
    you love to communicate with people You are comfortable reaching out and engaging both internally with colleagues and externally with important stakeholders as well as the public.
  • You are
    fluent in English, with excellent written and oral communications skills.

Bilingual? Even better French/English bilingualism is
preferred. Most importantly, you must have a very strong ability to communicate clearly (both orally and in writing). A strong preference will be given for
excellent writing skills in both French and English.
