Duties:

Administrative professionals at FCAC play an important role in supporting key Agency activities. FCAC is looking for dynamic and client service-oriented individuals to join the Corporate Services Administration Services Team.

Working as the Accommodations Services Officer you will be responsible for the coordination, planning, implementation and provision of operational services to FCAC employees in the areas of security, facilities, accommodations, telecommunications, materiel management, and administrative services.

**This position is classified at the RE-03 level, which is equivalent to the groups and levels identified above.

The Financial Consumer Agency of Canada (FCAC) is a separate agency established in 2001 to protect consumers by supervising federally regulated financial entities and strengthening the financial literacy of Canadians.

Financial consumer protection is an integral part of the Government of Canada's oversight of the financial sector.

  • The designated workplace for this position is downtown Ottawa (Ontario). This position will require the incumbent to work in the office at least 3 days per week.

A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

Experience planning, coordinating office moves or construction projects;
Experience planning and implementing a physical security program;
Experience conducting asset disposal;
Experience developing and coordinating departmental emergency procedures as well as leading a departmental emergency response team;
Experience in providing policy interpretation and recommendations to management; and

Experience dealing with internal and/or external clients or stakeholders.


Experience coordinating with central agencies, property building management, and other internal and external service providers with regards to accommodation requests.

Experience with disposal of assets using GCSurplus.

Experience in supervising employees; and,

Experience in working in facilities management and real property field.
