    Warren Ltd is a well-established marine agency, seeking interested applicants for the position of Agency Representative at our Head Office location in Halifax, NS.

    The ideal candidate will have an interest in marine shipping, transportation, tourism, and logistics management. Applicants must be able to communicate clearly, be well organized and be efficient while maintaining strong attention to detail. Applicants must be self motivated, possess a sense of responsibility, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in the marine industry is not required.
    Responsibilities
    Primary duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
    Boarding vessels and arranging/attending to all requirements/services for a successful port call.
    Representing a variety of international customers at the local level.
    Liaising with both port and government authorities.
    Monitoring regulatory compliance (ballast, and other pre-arrival notifications).
    Office administrative tasks, approving invoices and closing files related to individual port calls.
    Other duties and tasks as assigned.
    Qualifications
    Post secondary education in a related field is preferred.
    Ability to multi-task and handle a large volume of requests is a requirement.

    People oriented; must be able to build strong relationships with relevant stakeholders including but not limited to crew, owners, suppliers, service providers, and authorities.

    While experience in the marine industry is not required, 1-2 years prior experience in a similar role is considered an asset.

    Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.

    Candidates must attest that they have no criminal record to successfully obtain a Marine Transport Security Clearance screening as a condition of hire.

    Must own a vehicle and have a valid driver's licence.
    Willingness to work outside office hours and maintain schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, and holidays).
