- Must be eligible to work in Ontario;
- Minimum of a B.Ed Degree;
- Ontario Teaching Certification (OCT) in good standing;
- Excellent classroom management, organization, and planning skills;
- Excellent oral, written, communication, and presentation skills in English;
- Computer literacy: proficient and knowledgeable with all Google Suite products (Google Classroom, Docs, Slides, Forms, Sheets) Microsoft Office (Excel), and Smart-board Technology;
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the individual needs of each student;
- Experience in collaborating with colleagues, administration, and parents;
- Flexible, with an ability to manage to change strategies, environments, and needs;
- Experience in teaching Math at the grade 4-7 level;
- Experience in a private/independent school;
- Experience /Education in Special Education;
- Coaching and Leadership experiences (the Arts, Sports, Clubs, etc.);
- Experience with the Barton Reading & Spelling Program and/or Orton-Gillingham based tools (training is provided on site as well);
- Salary is commensurate with experience and role;
