    The Field Technician at Mammoth Equipment & Exhaust Inc plays a crucial role in the installation, maintenance, and inspection of diesel exhaust systems and emissions control solutions for heavy industrial equipment.

    Responsibilities encompass various technical tasks, requiring expertise in diesel exhaust systems, welding, electrical work, and compliance with safety and quality standards.

    This role involves independent travel, on-site customer interactions, and the ability to work in challenging environments, including underground mining sites.

    Key Duties & Responsibilities
    Exhaust System Installation and Maintenance:

    Conduct measurements using basic measuring tools and 3D scanners for new exhaust parts, blankets, and diesel particulate filters (DPFs).

    Provide installation assistance for exhaust components and conduct maintenance as needed.


    Technical Skills:
    Perform simple 12/24V electrical tasks related to Back Pressure Monitor kit installations.
    Demonstrate welding and cutting skills when required.
    Conduct DPM and Gaseous emissions testing.
    Work on both surface and underground mobile equipment, adhering to safety protocols.
    Safely climb and work on mining equipment, including ascending/descending using vertical ladders or walkways.


    Insulation and Measurement:
    Install thermal blankets or lagging onto engine exhaust systems, following installation drawings and procedures.
    Measure and draw exhaust systems and components accurately.
    Competently use hand tools for various tasks.
    Problem Solving and

    Decision Making:
    ~ Identify and resolve issues independently or in remote areas, prioritizing the company and customer's best interests.


    Auditing and Inspection:
    ~ Conduct audits on mining equipment.


    Customer Relations:
    Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor on-site, fostering positive customer relations.
    Instill confidence in customers regarding the success and quality of Mammoth products.
    Qualifications
    Previous experience in diesel exhaust systems and emissions control.
    Technical proficiency in welding, electrical work, and the use of basic measuring tools.
    Familiarity with underground mining policies and procedures.
    Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
    Excellent physical fitness and mobility for work in challenging environments.
    Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently.
    Commitment to safety and quality standards.

    Physical Requirements:
