Digital Communications Coordinator.

Your Role
As our Digital Communications Coordinator, you'll be a key influencing architect of our digital makeover


Your responsibilities will include:

Reinventing our digital presence:

You will play an integral role in strengthening our website presence and in creating and implementing effective strategies to increase impact through our social media platforms.


Boosting engagement:
Lead the charge in developing strategies and campaigns that increase our visibility, extend our reach, and stimulate engagement.


Cultivating donor relations:
Use your digital expertise to fortify our donor relations and bolster our fundraising initiatives.


Directly reporting to the Director of Communications and Development, you'll be an integral part of a team that's on a mission to connect with our audiences in novel ways, while amplifying and aligning with the ADO's reputation and brand.

Your creativity and strategic insights will be central to our digital marketing and social media strategies, solidifying our mission for the present and future.


Key Responsibilities

Digital Communications & Social Media:
Shape strategies and campaigns to amplify awareness and engagement across ADO's social media channels. Keep a close, trained eye on our social media presence and performance using analytical tools.


Website Management:

Take charge of ADO websites, optimizing for SEO and coordinating training for staff and other key audiences as necessary.

Collaborate to boost digital communications publishing and ad sales.


Outreach & Engagement:
Craft and disseminate communications materials, and strategize for planned giving and development, enhancing our media outreach.


Events & Meetings:

Coordinate planning and logistics for digital and in-person events and meetings, ensuring digital access to materials and conducting post-event analysis.


Your Skills & Experience


A Bachelor's Degree in a related field, 3-5 years of experience in communication or digital marketing, and proficiency in MS Office, Adobe Suite, Canva, and WordPress are essential.

You'll also need to demonstrate skills in social media platforms, Google Analytics, and social media analytics tools. Bonus points for video / podcast production and photography. An alignment with the values and visions of the Anglican Diocese of Ottawa is crucial. Having some experience in the non-profit sector would make you stand out.
