Your role:


We are seeking our next Global Payroll Manager - is this you? The Global Payroll Manager is responsible for overseeing the administration and processing of the company's payroll for all business entities globally.

You will also provide timely and accurate financial information pertaining to payroll and assists with consultation on global payroll policies, processes, and initiatives in conjunction with our P&C department and corporate management.


Accountabilities:


  • Perform ASL Canada payroll department operations.
  • Oversee administration and processing of foreign company payroll operations through Payroll specialist
  • LATAM & EMEA.
  • Monitor assigned payroll activities and/or program components for the purpose of ensuring effective department functioning, coordinating activities, and ensuring compliance with established financial, legal and/or administrative requirements.
  • Process accurate and timely yearend reporting and tax form submissions
  • Create reports as requested for members of the Finance team to aid in funding completion, budgeting, etc. Develop ad hoc financial and operational reporting as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with legislation such as the Pay Equity Act.
  • Support the company's vision and policies regarding Health & Safety, Corporate Culture, and Environmental Management by displaying the appropriate behaviors and leadership towards meeting the company's objectives in these areas.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in a field such as Business Administration, Finance or Accounting.
  • Payroll designation or certification
  • 45 years' experience processing multiprovince Canadian payroll and US based payroll.
  • Experience working with webbased payroll (including ADP Workforce Now and ADP Celergo) platforms would be considered an asset.
  • Working knowledge of payroll best practices and strong knowledge of corporate payroll systems, processes, and procedures
  • Experience in managing the processing and taxation of salaries, bonuses, commissions, and other forms of compensation.
  • Working knowledge of accounting, general ledger, journal entries, and bookkeeping experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian and United States payroll regulations would be considered an asset.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) as well as general accounting software.
  • Data analysis skills required.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in all areas of work.
  • Strong work ethic and team player.
  • Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material.
  • Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills
  • Effective communication with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Organizational, multitasking, and prioritizing skills.
