- Drafting various JI agreements to record and carry out commercial and business development prospects.
- Reviewing and implementing agreement amendments, revisions, ownership modifications, fee adjustments, obligations, contact/address updates, etc.
- Maintaining accurate data for facilities and pipelines, including working interest, and updating when necessary.
- Engaging, aiding, and cooperating with internal departments like commercial services, production services, operations, engineering, production & joint venture accounting, legal, audit, corporate development, A&D, EQ, etc.
- Upholding high data standards to ensure completeness and integrity within multiple databases.
- Effectively communicating with internal and external partners to resolve inquiries and disputes promptly.
- Being the main liaison for third-party tie-in activities and overseeing the management of change (MOC) process.
- Managing SAP workflows for joint interest AFE's.
- Assisting in A&D transactions including agreement/ROFR/consent reviews, due diligence, Q&A, etc.
- Providing administrative support to the JI team as needed, including data entry, mail outs, mail ballot setup and tracking, agreement scanning, etc.
- Occasionally conducting analyses on plant and gathering system finances and supporting the generation of lease operating statements when necessary.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
- Hold a Bachelor's degree focusing on business, analytics, or economics (an advantage).
- Completion of PJVA Administration & Analyst Certificates
- At least 7 years of experience in Oil & Gas, preferably in a Joint Interest Department.
- Familiarity with conventional and oil sands upstream production operations.
- Strong skills in analyzing complex information and presenting findings clearly and concisely.
- Ability to work well in a team, handling multiple tasks with conflicting priorities.
- Collaborating with asset teams and providing JI/Commercial support on operational initiatives.
- Initiative-driven individual who can effectively engage with internal and external partners.
- Experience with systems like MS Office, SAP, CS Land, Accumap, ArcMap, Enverus is preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint is considered an asset.
