A family practice clinic in the community of Antigonishhas an opportunity for1 or more family physicianto join their collaborative team of physicians and allied health professionals.
Opportunityexists to participate in a variety of other areas that fit your professional interests and skill set including, but not limited to, emergency medicine, hospitalist, obstetrics, addictions medicine, primary care clinics, OR assist, community clinics, etc.
Physicians have the opportunityto engage in research and/or teaching positions with Dalhousie University including Clinical Field Assessor, Preceptor, and support the longitudinal Family Medicine Residency program.
The family practice clinic islocated in Antigonish, minutes away from the local St.Martha's Regional Hospital (SMRH).SMRHis an acute care facility approximately two hours from the region's tertiary care centre, QEII Health Sciences Centre, and the tertiary carepediatric facility, the IWK Health Centre, which provides neonatal support.
St. Martha's Regional Hospital was founded in 1906 by the Congregation of the Sisters of St.Martha and is approximately a 90 bed facility with more than 60 physicians practicing in a variety of medical specialties and sub-specialties.
This facilityserves a population of nearly 70,000 from Antigonish, Guysborough, and surrounding communities.Family physiciansare joined by colleagues in:
