Who we are:

The Seniors Services Development division is responsible for the delivery of services and supports which allow residents of Peel to age-in-place.

Seniors Services Development co-leads the planning and execution of the new Seniors Health and Wellness Village at Peel Manor in Brampton; and provides strategic leadership of our Community Support Services which includes Adult Day Services.


What you will do in this role:

  • Organizes and coordinates the carrying out of established activities in the division's day-to-day business, various projects and planning activities as defined and directed to achieving high level objectives
  • Controls the Director's schedule by following up with person(s) organizing meetings and prioritizes, suggests alternative communication when scheduling is tight, suggests materials to be present, and schedules time in calendar for review of meeting materials
  • Maintains an appropriate balance of scheduled and working time in calendar balancing a hybrid working environment
  • Prepares, coordinates, and responds to requests for data and information from councillors, other divisions and departments, Ministries, provincial agencies, colleges/universities, and local organizations, as well as develop and maintain collaborative internal and external working relationships
  • Coordinates the divisional administrative support staff in an efficient and effective manner to streamline processes and work within the division
  • Address routine enquiries internally and externally regarding the work of the division as a whole and will be the contact for information on Seniors Services Development, including client and councillor inquiries
  • Coordinate and support Divisional leadership team meetings, section meetings and project meetings as required, including creating agendas, preparing minutes, and maintaining action logs
  • In partnership with the LTC administrative assistant, address routine enquiries internally and externally regarding the work of seniors' services through a shared inbox
  • Acts as Digital Champion for the Seniors Services Development division
  • Performs other duties as assigned that falls within the scope of the Divisional Support Coordinator

What the role requires:


  • Successful completion of a postsecondary administrative or business studies
  • Minimum of five years progressive administrative/coordinator support experience
  • Familiarity with eSCRIBE, HRMS and EIM
  • Political astuteness with demonstrated tact and diplomacy
  • Experience supporting senior management
  • Combination of education and experience may be considered

Skills/Abilities:


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office including Outlook, Word, Teams, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Intermediate Peoplesoft and SharePoint skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and public relation skills to deal with internal and external clients and stakeholders
  • Previous experience with event planning and demonstrated coordination skills
  • Good problemsolving skills and judgement
  • Superior research and analytical skills
  • Effective planning and organizational skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to deal with multiple tasks, shifting/changing priorities and operate with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to work in a selfdirected manner within a collaborative team environment

Work Mode & Job Location:
In this role, you'll enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid work arrangement.

This means you'll have the ability to work off-site and on-site as needed, depending on operational needs at the
7120 Hurontario St, Mississauga, ON worksite.

The frequency of on-site work may vary from week to week, depending on operational demands, which can evolve over time.

It's important to note that your remote work location must be within the province of Ontario.
