- Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to gather data integration requirements and assess technical feasibility.
- Design and implement data pipelines and ETL processes to integrate data from various sources into a unified data platform.
- Develop and maintain data infrastructure, including databases, data warehouses, and data lakes, to support storage, processing, and analysis requirements.
- Optimize data storage and processing for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness, leveraging technologies such as cloud platforms, distributed computing frameworks, and database technologies.
- Ensure data quality and reliability by implementing data validation, cleansing, and transformation processes.
- Work closely with software engineers and data scientists to integrate data into applications and analytics solutions, ensuring seamless data access and usability.
- Participate in data source analysis to identify relevant data sets and their integration requirements, providing insights for data-driven decision-making.
- Contribute to data integration documentation, including data flow diagrams, process descriptions, and technical specifications.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data integration processes to identify and resolve issues, ensuring data accuracy and availability.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and best practices in data engineering and data integration, actively seeking opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with the team to create a positive work environment that fosters learning, innovation, and growth.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Data Engineering or Process Engineering. Familiarity and experience with industrial operational technologies, such as DCS, PLC and SCADA is a plus.
- Strong understanding of data engineering concepts, data integration techniques, and ETL processes.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, with experience in SQL for data manipulation and querying.
- Familiarity with database technologies (e.g., relational databases, NoSQL databases)).
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure,GCP), on-prem database technologies and related services for data storage, processing, and analytics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze complex data requirements and develop effective solutions.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, translating business requirements into technical solutions.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies in a fast-paced environment.
