We have great opportunities for Yard Forklift Operators The company is well established in the field of fabrication and metal works.

The pay is from $21 per hour, and the shift is a day shift – from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday.

We are looking for skilled forklift operators that can load and offload pipes into a flat deck trailers.

The role is temporary seasonal but could extend longer. The location is in southeast Calgary, and transit is accessible. The candidate must have top-notch experience driving a forklift and be comfortable using mechanical power tools.

Responsibilities

The duties will include:

Operate a forklift to unload / load metal pipes from a flat deck truck
Assisting mechanics and machinists with their duties
Loading and unloading supplies from flat decks
Using tools to assemble and disassemble mechanical and hydraulic products
Ensuring that the shop remains tidy, organized, and clean
Lifting up to 50lbs repetitively
Working with your teammates to ensure the job is done in a timely manner

Qualifications

Experience you will need:

Must have great experience on sit down counter balance forklift
At least 1-2 years' experience in an industrial setting. It will be an asset if you have mechanical skills or background (for example in a machine shop, auto shop, or manufacturing),
Able to stand and walk for an 8-hour shift
Able to lift 50lbs
Basic computer literacy skills
Able to follow instructions
Able to communicate well with colleagues
A positive attitude, ready to work in a team as well as independently
