As an Oil and Gas Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting field inspections in the northeast region of the province for the oil and gas industry.

Your role involves assessing potential non-compliance by out-of-province companies operating in the province and reporting your findings. You are also responsible for gathering evidence of operation under the relevant taxation statutes administered by the branch.

Must be willing and able to travel within the province, including overnight stay.


Job Requirements:


  • High school graduation.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Valid Class 5, BC driver's license or equivalent, with no L restrictions.

Preference may be given with the following:

  • Related experience in an oil and gas environment.
  • Experience working independently in the field.

Provisos:


  • Willing and able to travel within the province, including overnight stay.
  • Willing and able to travel through inclement weather with sometimes hazardous road conditions.
  • Willing and able to obtain H2S Alive Certification (by hire date).
  • Willing and able to obtain OFA Level 1 (or equivalent) Certification (by hire date).
  • Willing and able to complete WHMIS training (by hire date).

This position can be based out of any of the locations listed above.
