FULL TIME OPERATIONS MANAGER

Position Overview:

The Operations Manager is responsible for the safe, effective, and efficient delivery of operational plans set forth by the Boys and Girls Club of Niagara and assumes the primary responsibility of implementing and executing the following portfolios in a regional capacity:
Developing plans, training staff and managing compliance in operational activities in terms of:

  • Housekeeping Plans;
  • Preventative Maintenance Plans;
  • Emergency Response Plans;
  • Fire Safety Plans;
  • Security Plans;
  • Information Technology Plans;
Training staff and managing compliance in risk management activities in terms of:

  • Managing Health & Safety representation;
  • Monitoring occurrence reporting;

Managing physical and capital assets in terms of:

  • Executing capital projects;
  • Liaising with 3rd party service providers in the maintenance of physical and capital assets;
  • Assisting regional management in their goal of appropriate asset management;
  • Assisting in longterm capital asset management activities;
  • Assisting in the records retention and asset deployment and monitoring activities;
  • Conducting regular portfolio audits to ensure compliance with Boys and Girls Club of Niagara internal policy & practice and adherence to legislative regulations.
The position is accountable to the Chief Operating Officer.

This is a full-time salary position hours per week).


Compensation for the position is set between $50,600 and $54,500 annually and includes a comprehensive benefits package and RRSP plan after successful completion of the probationary period.


Qualifications:


  • Postsecondary diploma/degree/certification in a related field;
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in a leadership role managing facilities and/or assets;
  • Welldeveloped organizational, analytical, problemsolving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to set priorities and see them implemented;
  • Able to secure a current Police Clearance with Vulnerable Sector;
  • A valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle.
  • Certified Pool Operators (CPO) certification and/or Health & Safety Level 1 & 2 would be considered strong assets.
