Are you indigenous and have led initiatives toward Indigenous Engagement & Reconciliation in a corporate setting? Our client, a national bank and one of Canada's Top 100 Employers, is looking for a Senior Advisor in Indigenous Engagement and Reconciliation .

10+ years of leadership experience in organizational strategy, policy development, and driving change in DEI and human rights.
~ Management or consultant experience in human rights, DEI, and/or indigenous engagement and reconciliation initiatives.
~ Bachelor's degree in Law, Human Rights, Indigenous Studies, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Social Science or related. A Master's degree or Law degree in Human Rights is an asset.
~ Knowledgeable of human rights principles and legislation (UNDRIP, federal & provincial legislation)

Provide expert advice and guidance on Indigenous Engagement and Reconciliation to strengthen strategies, policies, and programs.

Lead the development of a Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) and the process to obtain PAR (Progressive Aboriginal Relations) certification —connect with internal and external stakeholders, recommend solutions aligned to priorities, and identify areas for improvement.

Advise on governance and advisory structures for Indigenous Engagement & Reconciliation —analyze the need for and suitability of an Elder Council or similar.

Conduct research and benchmarking to advise on Indigenous engagement and reconciliation best practices —standards, policies, trends, and regulatory requirements.

Provide support in developing a Human Rights Position Statement and Implementation Plan aligned with the rights of Indigenous peoples, UNDRIP and legislation.

Assist in strategic planning to promote DEI, human rights, and reconciliation.

Offer support and advice to internal teams on advancing representation, strengthening workplace inclusion, and expanding market reach to underserved groups.
