Role Mission

The objective of the Customer Management Analyst position is twofold: 1) Support the retail Key Account Managers across the business through providing tools, insight, and analytic support in efforts to drive order generation within liquor board customers and 2) Support the Trade Development and Brand Management teams through publishing regular reporting and maintaining/enhancing established tools to support vital business processes.

Key Deliverables

  • Maintain Excel based customer facing inventory management tools to support the retail Key Account Managers
  • Within liquor board markets, review inventory position on a regular basis and highlight future inventory shortfalls to Key Account Managers to support order generation
  • Monitor open purchase orders within liquor board markets and engage with the Brand Management team or supplier representatives to address any orders projected to ship later than the customer expected ship date
  • Produce and publish regular reporting to the business on stock position for all markets
  • Produce regular reporting on inventory availability within the LCBO warehouses for products on promotion and communicate inventory transfer requirements to the Key Account Managers
  • Lead the preparation and insight generation required to support the monthly LCBO CPFR process
  • Conduct analysis as required to support the Key Account Managers in addressing continual challenges driving out of stock situations with the customer (i.e., inadequate order frequency, timing of order generation, lead times, stock level minimums in regional distribution centres)
  • Track actual sales performance and inventory receipts against projections provided by the liquor boards (where applicable)
  • Provide regular reporting to the Sales Execution and Brand Teams on stock position within the liquor board markets
  • Maintain Excel based retail activity trackers for Trade Development Managers and Budget Planners for Brand Managers. Activities inclusive of product additions/removal, promotional costing updates and regular maintenance
  • Update and publish regular reporting (Excel based) to the business on promotional activity (National Grid, Project Trafficking Report), and reporting to support the Brand Teams with budget management in relation to retail promotional activity (Calibration Report)
  • Generate retail promotional activity extracts on a regular basis for the Commercial Finance team to support the National forecasting process
  • Provide training to the Brand and Trade Development teams as required on standardized reporting

Experience Required, Knowledge and Skills
- +2 years' experience in an analyst role supporting sales or marketing teams

  • Experience within the Canadian Beverage Alcohol industry is not a requirement but considered a strong asset
  • Completion of Post-Secondary education with a degree in Business Administration or any related field combined with training in sales and business management
  • Practical Experience within and understanding of supply chain / demand planning processes
