Your Mission


Your mission is to direct and manage the day-to-day accounting function of the company, while continually striving for process and operational efficiencies in the Finance functions everyday work.

You will quickly become a key member of the Trusscore finance team and will help us expand and optimize our existing processes within our ERP system, NetSuite.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement best practices for efficient and effective operation of the accounting department
  • Guide and continually develop a dynamic accounting team to increase the internal value of the group and ensure success in a fastpaced business environment
  • Ensure period end close activities are performed within timelines; analyze trial balance and P&L by entity; review critical month end schedules prepared by the team
  • Become a NetSuite champion, to ensure crossfunctional integration of our system and seamless activities across all critical financial and nonfinancial business processes
  • Responsible to oversee all accounting functions of the business, which includes payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, expense management, banking/loans, intercompany, inventory, fixed asset and grant accounting business processes
  • Oversee the manufacturing planning process from a cost and material planning perspective including average cost planning, labour and overhead activity rates and quarterly inventory provisions
  • Oversee the execution of our Annual Consolidated Financial Statement audit, including review our external financial statements prepared under IFRS, review schedules, and support the team in gathering supporting documentation for all samples
  • Responsible for the accuracy of master data, including but not limited to Item Master, Customer Master and Vendor Master Data within NetSuite, as well as Chart of Accounts and financial statement presentation consistency
  • Develop and coach direct and indirect team members including identifying and implementing process efficiencies
  • Responsible for building and reviewing our quarterly reporting package to be presented to senior management
  • Building and maintaining a hedging program
  • Assist in ad hoc reporting and analysis as required

Qualifications:


  • 7 years of progressive experience in a senior finance role and hands on experience working in accounting and financial reporting capacity
  • Bachelors or Master's degree, with business or accounting background
  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA/CGA/CMA) designation is required
  • Strong understanding of IFRS is required
  • Experience in an ERP platform is a definite asset (NetSuite preferred)
  • Strong, proven experience in leading, mentoring, and growing a dynamic accounting group
  • Must be proficient in MS Excel
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and prioritize deadlines on an ongoing basis
  • Excellent relationship, written and oral communication skills
  • Strong work ethic and detail oriented
  • Strong sense of accountability and ownership to meet tight monthly deliverables and deadlines
  • Critical thinker with strong analytical skills
  • Ability to take initiative, resolve issues, and provide solutions and recommendations
