PRIMARY FOCUS
Join LutherCare Communities (LCC) as a crucial member of our Marketing & Communications division, taking on the role of Communications Specialist.
Reporting directly to the Director of Marketing & Communications, you will play a vital role in shaping our communication strategy and working alongside team leaders to create, distribute, and oversee both internal and external communication materials.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
As the Communications Specialist at LutherCare Communities (LCC), you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our organization by fulfilling the following key responsibilities:
Strategic Alignment:Collaborate on initiatives, strategies, and methods that support and drive our division's operational plans, aligning them with LCC's strategic objectives and priorities. Your contributions will be instrumental in ensuring effective and efficient execution.
Stakeholder Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships both internally and externally. By fostering open communication and positive connections with residents, visitors, and families, you will contribute to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment.

Position Functions:

Strategic Positioning: Work closely with the Director to develop compelling ideas that address complex problems, influence diverse audiences, drive cultural shifts, and design effective communication strategies.

Brand Advocacy:Champion LCC's visual identity guidelines and brand, ensuring consistency and adherence to brand standards across all communication materials.

Content Strategy:Assist the Director in developing and implementing content strategies and editorial processes for our major digital and print media channels.

Data Analysis:Collect and analyze data to measure the success of Marketing & Communications strategies and identify areas for improvement.

Process Improvement: Review quality monitoring metrics to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our communication processes.

Reporting: Prepare comprehensive reports using qualitative and quantitative data, presenting them to the Director, Executive Leadership Team (ELT), Operations Leadership Team (OLT), and management teams. Your reports will provide valuable insights to support cross-functional decision-making.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE POSITION & ORGANIZATION

Education:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in related field would be considered an asset.
- Professional designation (or near completion)
- Licensed and in good standing with professional association and/or regulatory body, if applicable
Experience:
- 3+ years working in Communications or media development.
- Experience in a multistakeholder environment with multiple locations
- Experience working with Federal and Provincial Governments
- Experience working with First Nation and Metis communities.
- Experience in a hybrid organization (forprofit and notforprofit) would be considered an asset.
- Experience in a healthcare sector would be considered an asset.
- Experience in a housing sector would be considered an asset.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Is committed to a residentfirst culture.
- Understanding of communication strategy, methods, and tools
- Knowledge of various forms of media and associated technology
- Knowledge of legislation and applicable laws
- Thorough understanding of healthrelated services and housing issues, government, government relations and public affairs
