As an
Equipment Coordinator, you will join our busy team in
Edmonton, AB.

This role is responsible for managing and maintaining Matrix's wide range of environmental field equipment, including, but not limited to, safety equipment, water quality instruments, groundwater monitoring equipment, fish nets, and GPS units.

You may also support managing and maintaining vehicles and boats.

The successful applicant will provide a broad range of services with responsibilities as follows:

  • Actively participate in maintaining Matrix's strong safety culture
  • Coordinate the availability of field equipment while picking and preparing internal equipment orders
  • Inspect and clean field equipment when returned from field
  • Calibrate and repair field equipment
  • Maintain inventory levels/stock of equipment and consumables by monitoring stock levels and ordering items as needed
  • Act as a point of contact regarding equipment. This includes supporting the field technicians in selecting the correct items. As part of this responsibility, you will develop an understanding of what the equipment is used for and how it works
  • Maintain strong working relationships with customers and vendors
  • Coordinate shipping and receiving between offices and vendors
  • Assist in the tidiness of warehouse facilities and equipment
  • Assist our Truck Coordinator in cleaning and conducting walkarounds of light duty vehicles and facilitating their maintenance with third party mechanics

What We Are Looking For

  • High school diploma at a minimum. Postsecondary education would be considered an asset
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds
  • Mechanically and/or technically inclined
  • Previous experience cleaning equipment or vehicles would be considered an asset
  • Experience driving pickup trucks, towing, and backing in boats/trailers would be considered an asset
  • Previous experience with asset tracking, scheduling, and customer service
  • Knowledge of basic vehicle repair would be considered an asset
  • Detail oriented with the ability to multitask
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • A valid class 5 driver's license with no restrictions and clean driving record
  • Interest or previous experience in environmental sciences and engineering would be considered an asset

$52,441.76-$88,249.24 per year
