As a leader in our industry, we are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to join our team and ensure the smooth operation of our electrical systems.
Job Summary:
The Industrial Electrician will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting electrical equipment and systems in our manufacturing facility.
This role requires strong technical expertise, a solid understanding of electrical systems, and the ability to work independently to ensure optimal production uptime.
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and machinery in accordance with relevant electrical codes and safety standards.Conduct routine inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance to identify and address potential issues before they lead to downtime or production delays.
Troubleshoot electrical faults, diagnose problems, and implement effective solutions in a timely manner to minimize disruption to production.Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering and maintenance, to ensure coordination and effective communication for electrical-related projects and repairs.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical specifications to guide installation, repair, and maintenance activities.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment history, and maintenance logs.
Comply with all safety regulations and company policies, promoting a culture of safety and ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
Keep up-to-date with advancements in electrical technology, industry best practices, and relevant codes and regulations.Valid Electrician License (442A) issued by the Ontario College of Trades.
~5-8 years of experience as an Industrial Electrician in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
~ Solid understanding of electrical systems, equipment, and controls commonly used in the manufacturing industry.
~ Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
~ Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical faults effectively and efficiently.
~ Strong knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
~ Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
~ Availability to work on a rotating shift schedule and respond to emergency calls as needed.
