    Commercial Property and Casualty Consultant


    Located at the Toronto head office and reporting to the Head of Client Strategy and Communications, the Commercial Property and Casualty Insurance Consultant will provide leadership within the organization.

    Focusing on strategic risk management and property and casualty consulting expertise for current and prospective clients, this individual will support the P&C Actuarial and Alternative Risk Consulting teams.

    In addition to risk management consulting and alignment with best industry practices, the team oversees reinsurance program placements for clients with domestic and international reinsurance partners.

    This individual will excel in providing leadership and expertise, functioning as an internal advisor, and driving success through teams and empowerment.


    Within the Risk Management Consulting, Placement, & Reinsurance team, the Commercial P&C Consultant provides leadership across the organization and supports consulting engagements and client and insurance/reinsurance market relationships.


    Additional duties and responsibilities include:

    • Develop client consulting proposals and reports based on specific client engagements.
    • Lead client relationships and internal resources to execute engagement deliverables, including outreach, followup, meeting coordination, and participation.
    • Provide P&C subject matter expertise and guidance to internal P&C actuarial and consulting teams.
    • Keep abreast of new insurance products and coverages within the industry and align with client applications.
    • Identify and support new client risk consulting and program management opportunities.
    • Provide P&C commercial insurance support involving alternative risk management, including captive feasibility studies and implementations.
    • Utilize commercial insurance expertise to help develop strategic planning for new opportunities and development.
    • Participate in and support new and expanded business activities.
    • Support reinsurance placements and proactively manage emerging requirements.
    • Manage reinsurer communication and present market findings to clients.
    • Develop and assess new reinsurance market capacity as required.
