You will work regularly with warehouse, office, and management staff. You will also be confident in taking telephone calls for customer requests.


The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for a wide variety of clerical duties in support of the daily warehouse operations.


Essential Functions & Responsibilities:


  • Answers incoming calls from Carriers or Customers and confirms booking appointments for in & outbound schedules.
  • Answers incoming calls from Carriers or Customers and confirms booking appointments deliveries and pickups.
  • Creates shipping documents and prepares other paperwork as necessary to meet customer needs.
  • Assembles data and prepares periodic and special reports, manuals and correspondence as required by the Warehouse Manager & Billing dept.
  • Matches shipping documents to orders shipped.
  • Ensures effective communication from the office to the warehouse.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Specifications—Skills and Competencies:


  • 2 or more years of office administration, load booking, customer service and/or inventory control experience in a warehouse environment (asset).
  • Must be proficient in both written and spoken English.
  • Proven ability to work as a team or individually.
  • Excellent organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Must be a selfstarter and a team player.
  • Exceptional computer knowledge with respect to Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel specifically).
  • Ability to quickly learn warehouse management software.

Job Types:

Wage:
$19 - $21 per hour

Dayshift, Monday to Friday
